Seed Moisture Management
Moisture is the single most controlled factor in seed quality. Manage it well from storage to planting and protect every seed's viability.
Moisture Controls Viability
Excess moisture accelerates respiration and encourages mould and insect damage; too little can slow the seed's readiness to germinate. Consistent, moderate moisture keeps seed alive and stable through the season.
Moisture Control
Seeds are dried to a target moisture range and kept there with humidity management — never allowed to sweat or dry out.
Storage Conditions
Cool, dry, ventilated stores with protection from direct heat and humidity keep seed stable for longer periods.
Seed Viability
Germination testing at controlled moisture confirms seed remains alive and vigour remains high before any batch leaves our facility.
Careful Handling
Minimised transfer and exposure time prevents seeds from absorbing ambient humidity between processing and packaging.
Pre-Planting Preparation
Seed is conditioned ahead of sowing so its moisture is ideal for even, prompt germination in the seedbed.
Quality Preservation
Protective packaging and correct storage instructions carry the quality maintained in production all the way to your field.

Protecting Seed Moisture on the Farm
- Store in a dry, cool place
Keep opened bags off damp floors and away from direct sun or heating.
- Reseal after opening
Return unused seed to a closed container between plantings.
- Plant in moist-but-draining soil
Aim for even moisture in the furrow to encourage uniform emergence.
- Never soak seed before planting
Unless a specific treatment advises otherwise, soaking reduces rather than supports germination.
